Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the driver of a vehicle that struck a police officer and fled the scene in Shirley in April.
An on-duty police officer who was removing debris from the roadway was struck by the passenger side of a dark sedan on April 30 at approximately 12:40 a.m. The vehicle fled the scene. The officer suffered minor injuries.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
