FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q. How do I bring a gun to the drop off site? A. Guns must be UNLOADED, and placed in a plastic bag, a paper bag, or a box. Q. Can I transport the firearm in a car? A. Yes. It must be UNLOADED and in the trunk in a plastic or paper bag, or a box. Q. How many firearms can I surrender? A. As many as you wish to provide. Q. Can any member of the public surrender a gun? A. Licensed gun dealers, and active or retired law enforcement officers are not eligible for this program.
